Reclink Australia created Choctober as a way to help raise funds for women and girls experiencing social isolation and disadvantage. Going without chocolate for the month of October is a small sacrifice we can all make. The Choctober challenge create awareness while raising much needed funds to provide socially inclusive, life- changing sports and social arts activities for women and girls in need.
Why give up chocolate?
Who can participate?
Anyone and everyone can take part in Choctober. There is no age limit to helping raise funds. Get together with friends, family, school, sports team, co-workers or as individuals for a bit of fun while helping make a difference.
What’s our goal?
Sadly, giving up chocolate for a month is nothing compared to the real struggle many disadvantaged women and girls make every day. Last year Reclink Australia assisted over 280 community organisations and rebuilt the lives of more than 80,000 disadvantaged Australians through the provision of more than 4,000 events and activities nationally.
This year we aim to beat that with a goal of raising over $50,000.
